My story:
I have always been interested in capturing the world around me, having grown up in rural Shropshire I have been surrounded by beautiful landscapes, farm animals and wildlife. So from an early age I was sketching and taking photographs.
Having studied Fine Art as a scholar as part of the International Baccalaureate, I went on to study at Newcastle University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science.
Since graduating, I have followed my dream of becoming an artist. Travel is a huge part of my life, and the cultures, landscapes and wildlife are a key inspiration for my own work, with my principal commissions being bespoke animal portraits.
My work:
I pride myself on the detail and accuracy with which I put life, soul and character into my work. I am a perfectionist and will ensure that every detail is captured. I aim to bring the living to life in art form!
I carry out bespoke commissions, principally dogs and horses but I tend to turn my hand to most things, cars, houses, people etc.
I also photograph at events: family photo shoots and birthday parties etc. Please email me through the contact page for more information and for bookings.
What you need to know:
I draw mainly in the medium of graphite and coloured pencil, but I also use paint. I work principally from photographs so when you commission me you would need to send me a selection of photos of your subject, (pet or person) and I would draw from those images.
Ideally it would be better if I could meet the subject and take my own selection of photographs as this would enable me to get a much better idea of character and personality (the cost of travel would be taken into account).
Each commission usually takes a week but this may vary according to the size you request, number of subjects per portrait and the number of bookings I have. Please visit the contact page for further inquiries and pricing.
